April 24 - Headway

Kerry, Tara, and Jay hand tilled the ground to make way for seedlings.  Thank you Kerry for thinking ahead with planting in peat pots.

Wee butternut squash plant, may you grow big and fruit plentiful.
DIY copper wrapped milk carton strips make for stylish tags by Jay.
I'm going to learn something from this level of fancy.
Nice artwork Brian!

April 6th

After a tasty brunch, and a 2 mile run around the block, we weeded the beds getting them ready for grow season.  Kerry, Jay, Skye, Erin, John, Cailen, Ellie, Noah, Tara, Lillian, and Brian all helped out to make short work of a weed pile.  Great weather!

April 5 - Garden in the Rough

It's looking a lot like the lawn,
but it's filled with those weeds that are so satisfying to tear out.
The proposal is made to make it a community effort.
And the challenge is accepted.

The Dirt on the Sangria CSA

Give us some dirt and we will make a garden grow.
Give us some cheap table wine and we will make sangria.
Come together friends and family and we will make a CSA for all of us to enjoy!

I thank the Bennett's for lending the space and the spicket for bringing together a community.
